My paintings and prints are inspired by my observations of repeating patterns of the natural world. I organize my reference material, a combination of photographic and hand-drawn imagery that I accrue through my travel, to create compositional harmony and evoke the experience of the place that inspired it. The image once transferred to the support is developed with several applications of paint applied in glazes with masking and freehand. I hand make my painting panels from recycled wood that I select for the beauty of the grain and for it's strength and durability.
